Gravity does not require an account. Focus records, tasks, collections, and personal preferences are primarily processed and stored on your device.
1. Data on your device
To provide timers, history, statistics, tasks, collections, and recovery, the app stores focus dates, durations, statuses, categories or tags, and associated tasks; task content, subtasks, dates, reminders, and estimated effort; collection and discovery records, eligibility, and historical states; saved focus configurations, sounds, volumes, playback order, music favorites, appearance, and other preferences; and state and verification information needed to recover unfinished operations.
This data runs the features you choose. The current version has no in-app accounts, in-app cloud sync, advertising, or third-party behavioral analytics SDKs. Gravity does not automatically upload your focus records, tasks, or full backups to developer servers.
2. Apple purchases and entitlements
Apple’s App Store handles Pro purchases, payment, and subscription management. Gravity determines entitlements from information supplied and verified by Apple, including products, validity periods, and revocations. It does not receive bank card numbers or full payment details. Apple’s privacy policy and applicable terms govern Apple’s handling of purchase and payment information.
Restoring purchases only reconfirms Pro entitlements. It does not restore local focus records, tasks, or collections from Apple.
3. Exports, sharing, and backups you initiate
The app only prepares export files or opens the system share sheet when you initiate the action. You choose the destination or recipient. CSV is for spreadsheet viewing. A full backup may include focus records, tasks, tags, saved focus configurations, collections, and preferences. Active focus sessions and test data are excluded from full backups.
Backups use SHA-256 checksums to check file consistency. Checksums are not encryption. Backups do not have additional password encryption, and anyone who obtains the file may be able to read personal information. Keep them secure.
You may use the system file menu to choose local storage, iCloud Drive, or other file services. The storage provider or recipient you choose handles files under its own settings and policies. This is separate from in-app cloud sync, which Gravity does not provide.
Restoring a backup replaces local data; it does not merge records. The app retains a pre-restore copy for later export.
4. Notifications, Live Activities, and sound
End-of-focus reminders and Live Activities are optional and depend on system permissions, device support, and your settings. Turning them off does not stop basic focus timing. Background audio plays the music or ambient sound you select; it does not record audio. Current features do not require location, camera, microphone, or contacts access. You may disable optional features and permissions in the app or system settings.
5. Feedback and contact you initiate
The feedback screen only prepares the issue you enter and the version, build number, and system version visible on the page. After tapping Share, you choose a recipient or storage location. Feedback is not automatically sent, and focus records, tasks, and ledgers are not automatically attached.
When you send an email to the contact address, the developer receives the contact information, message, and attachments you send. These are used only to address the issue and necessary follow-up. A full backup is usually unnecessary. Do not provide Apple Account passwords, bank card details, or unrelated personal content.
6. Retention, deletion, and control
You manage local data through your device and the app. Back up anything you want to retain before deleting the app. Removing only the Home Screen icon or using a system offloading option that retains data may not delete app data; refer to the system instructions.
Manage and delete exported or shared backups, CSV files, screenshots, and other copies separately at their storage locations or receiving services. Deleting the app does not automatically delete those copies. The developer cannot remotely read, modify, or delete records stored only on your device.
Information you send to support is retained only while addressing the issue and necessary follow-up, except when retention is legally required. You may request access or deletion through the contact email. Apple provides system backups, store services, and system diagnostics; these are governed by system settings and Apple’s policies.
7. Policy updates
We update this policy and its date when actual processing changes. For questions about data control or privacy, contact 392935150@qq.com.
